Katie Negus Day

We would like to take the opportunity to remember and celebrate the life of Katie Negus, a much loved and valued Learning Support Assistant at The Chiltern School, who sadly passed away very suddenly in February last year.

Katie dedicated herself to supporting our pupils with kindness, patience, and a deep understanding of their needs. She first joined Hillcrest School in 2006 and became part of The Chiltern School following its merger with Glenwood in 2012. Her gentle and caring nature, alongside her ability to provide clear, firm boundaries, helped so many pupils to flourish and grow. Her contribution to our school community has been deeply missed.

To honour her memory, we will be holding a special day of remembrance on Friday 14th February. In true Katie style, we invite pupils to wear something pink, glittery, or fluffy if they so wish, a reflection of her vibrant and warm personality.

As part of the day, we will also be raising funds for two charities close to Katie’s heart:
