The launch of The Hermes Project C.I.C
At 15 years old, I lost my Dad to suicide. I was in year 11 and my school had no specific help available to offer me.
It took me years to speak out, and when I did, I was surprised to learn that it helped people.
Using the awareness I have already created in the press, I want to launch The Hermes Project as an initiative to provide support for those bereaved by parental suicide.
School talks, presentations and mentoring will become available to both students and teachers. I truly believe that meeting someone who had been through my situation would have helped me more than meeting someone who had read about it.
I will also continue on my journey of allowing men to speak openly about their mental health and continue working with existing charities to spread awareness.
