To Holles St and Back & Hugh's House Fundraiser

Myself and Paddy will be virtually walking 150km to Holles Street and back during the month of April.

On the 22nd April last year, our little girl Róisín was delivered 10 weeks early at 2lbs 9oz. The staff that cared for her in the NICU in Holles Street were just amazing and we will be forever grateful for everything they did for Róisín and us.

Róisín has thrived under their care from day 1 and as she turns one we would like to raise funds for Holles Street and also for a charity called Hugh's House as a thank you. Hugh's House accommodate parents of children in hospital. They provide somewhere to stay with cooking and cleaning facilities. There are ready made meals in the freezer and food is delivered daily. They housed myself and Paddy in Dublin while Róisín was in hospital. This house meant that we could be by Róisín's side all the time and it was invaluable that I didn't have to travel after a C section. All this is free of charge so they depend heavily on donations to maintain the house.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated for these two charities.

Contributions would help fund research to help premature babies, provide assistance to mums, support families and mothers and to help NMH continue as one of the most advanced hospitals for preemies, complicated pregnancies and seriously ill babies.

It would also help Hugh's House provide short and long term accommodation to parents of children in hospital in Dublin.
