To complete my MA at The Royal College of Art
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Christopher John Simpson, I'm raising funds to help pay my last fee instalment for my MA in sculpture at The Royal College of Art in London.
If I graduate, I will be the first in my working-class family to achieve an MA and the first to become a professional artist.
The pandemic left me and many of us without an income for a long period, and the cost of living crisis has eaten up any extra money I make now whilst studying and working hard.
Those of you who know me, know just how much of a journey it has been to get this far. I'm so close to graduating! The support I have had along the way has been humbling and means a lot to me. There are many things I want to do after the RCA and completing the course is important to me and my career as an artist, allowing others in my family to see art as another choice.
£2250 is my final payment for the course and £250 will help go toward realising my final piece 'Easy Come, Easy Go', 2023. A group of 12 marble-like, cement sculptures (image below) reaching heights of up to 3 metres. To be exhibited in the final degree show at The Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London.
Donations of £500 will get 1 of 3 Bronze sculptures of 'Amato,2023' made at the RCA.
Donations of £100 will receive 1 of 12 plaster casts of 'Amato, 2023.
Donations of £25 will receive a signed A4 C-type print of the final installation.
Thank you.
