Butte Co. Fire Victims Need Help
Beschermde donatie
This is a picture of my daughter, Amanda, and my three beautiful grandchildren during happier times last winter. As many of my FB friends are aware, my daughter and her family became victims of the Butte County wild fire this past weekend. They lost their home, their car, and a beloved family pet. Thankfully, the family was able to escape physical harm. However, they lost everything but the clothes on their back and a few pictures my daughter grabbed from the wall on her way out. My daughter’s family is now scattered in three separate locations in nearby communities with friends and family.
Unlike an individual structure fire where the community rallies to help the individual(s) involved, the entire town was ravaged by fire, 42 people have been confirmed dead, hundreds are missing, and over 7,000 homes and businesses have been destroyed; schools and stores are gone. Life, as many of the folks of Butte County knew it, is forever over. The situation there is horrendous. The fire is still only 25% contained.
My daughter and her family really need your help, as do so many in Butte County. Please reach out to help, and please share with the FB community.
