Through Darkness Comes Light

Hello! My name is Erin, and I’ve never done something like this before, but I really want to help someone special in my life and I can’t do it alone. I’m raising money for a dear friend, awesome mom and gueninuely kind human, Katie. Katie is a single mom of 5 great kids. She came into my life under adverse circumstances, but through kindness and grace on her part, we have become great friends. She needs my help. Having 5 children isn’t cheap, but having 5 children to care for on your own without any financial help from their father is down right impossible. Due to a messy divorce, and the system being terribly flawed, Katie hasn’t received child support in close to a year, and she is currently owed over $30,000 in back child support from their father. That’s not a typo....30. Thousand. She works from home while caring for the kids to try to make ends meet, but it’s just not enough. My goal is to raise enough money to get her caught up on their rent and secure their place to live. She is currently 4 months behind. Hopefully this will ease some financial burden. I wish I had $2,500 to just give her and call it a day, but unfortunately I don’t. While racking my brain to figure out a way to help, gofund me seemed to be the answer. I have to try. Please help my sweet friend. She has been dealt a losing hand but still faces each day with a smile on her face.
