Hi, My Name is Ben.

I’m a proud father of a gorgeous little boy who is autistic, pre-verbal & profoundly deaf with dual cochlear implants, this means that many things can be out of our control & are challenging at times.

My fitness is shocking at the moment & things recently have been heavy (physically and mentally) but this is not a sob story , this is me deciding to take inspiration from the little man who has been and always will be my hero. When he was born one of the first things that I said to his mother when I looked at him was ‘this boy will move mountains’ and like many children who are both with hearing impairments there will be many mountains to climb ahead of them through no fault of their own.

So I’ve decided to climb a few mountains to raise money and awareness for this more than worthy cause! Drawing on the same levels of stamina & determination I’ve observed from my boy and other deaf children I will endeavour to drag myself up Ben Nevis - Scafell Pike & Mount Snowdon within one calendar month.
