this rural town in Ghana, Dressmaking School!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ilithia Morris. I live in Dallas Texas and I am a US-born citizen. Earlier this year I visited Obom, a small town outside of Accra in Ghana where I had the privilege of meeting some extraordinary students and teachers at the Obom Dressmaking Training Centre in Obom, outside of Accra. What became immediately apparent to me was the joy, smiles and attitudes of everyone at the school that I found remarkable given their enormous need for everything from sewing machines, sewing machine repair, and fabric, along with other essential supplies. The Ghanaian spirit is more than apparent at this school. And, while I donated to their cause, my contribution pales in comparison to what this wonderful school needs. These young adults will go on to care for their entire family on meager wages, but wages nonetheless. However, if this school shuts down due to a lack of funding, the future will be even worse for the students and their families. I hope everyone that reads this post will donate to help this extremely worthy cause.
