'Think We, not Me' Community Food Growing Prog '21

Dear friends:           

In these trying times, many of our friends in the State College area are hurting big time... and now, more than ever, local Food Banks are an invaluable source of food for many of our fellow neighbors..... so we are asking for your help to be a compassionate and caring part of our 'Think We, not Me' Community Food Growing Program'. 

This will be our 4th year growing food for the Centre County Food Banks.....this year we were able to supply over 15,000 lbs. of food to over 20 county food banks and churches… in past years, PSU was able to supply them with even more, but not this past year and it is doubtful they will be able to supply the food banks next year.

With this in mind, our group seeks to double this year’s output with a goal of 30,000 lbs.
                  ....and 100% OF WHAT WE GROW WILL GO TO THE FOOD BANKS

With no financial support from the Food Banks, nor from PSU this year, we set up this GoFundMe page to help defray our costs which include purchasing seed, weed control covering, electric fencing, irrigation, fertilizer and many other necessities... 

Perhaps as much or more than the money, we would like this to be a shared community and humanitarian effort.... We now have 50 volunteers involved with us and to meet our lofty goal we will need even more…. in these difficult times, please 'Think We, not Me’ and open your hearts as much or little as you can, be it by donation or re-posting this on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
