Hey everybody!
I am so excited to let you know that next semester I have the opportunity to take a class at Regis University called “Marketing for Social Change: The Uganda Project,” which is a business course that will also heavily accent my Peace and Justice major. On top of learning about issues facing developing countries in sub-Saharan Africa, I also have the opportunity to go to Uganda over Spring Break to meet some of the people working at the nonprofits and social enterprises we are learning about first hand. I truly believe this travel learning experience is a once in a lifetime educational opportunity.
One of these nonprofit organizations is BeadforLife, as you can see in the above video. This small business empowers women economically through jewelry making and provides education to women looking to start their own sustainable businesses. I wear one of their bracelets every day that belogned to my Grandma.
That being said, I am in need of some financial support to reach my goal of $1,000. If you would be willing to donate, and help make this dream of mine come true, any contribution would be immensely appreciated. If you are unable to donate, I completely understand, and I would ask that, in lieu of a financial donation, you keep me and my class in your thoughts and prayers!
