This is a plea to the people of Thetford & the wider community; we need your help & support to set up this long overdue and much NEEDED Domestic Abuse service run by the community FOR the community!
The VERA Trust C.I.C was set up during the Covid19 pandemic to support the women & children of Thetford & Surrounding areas who are current or past victims of Domestic Abuse.
We aim to provide holistically informed services, specialised to support vulnerable women promote their own deep rooted recovery and to improve their quality of life following domestic abuse.
Our Core Values Are:
Empowerment: We believe in working with women and children with a positive empowering approach to identify and achieve impacting, sustainable and achievable outcomes that are personally important to them.
Resilience: We strive to ensure we are a resilient CIC so that we are able to continue to meet the needs of women and children seeking support; mirroring a core skill needed for victims to step into the recovery stage.
Awareness: We endeavour to work with women and children to raise the education and knowledge of healthy relationships, self awareness and self love. Evaluating the overall self awareness of the individual and acquirement of emotional tools required to heal.
Transforming: We are committed to offering long term professional relationships to support the transformation of long term difficulties and lifting of emotional and mental barriers.
