Help Just 1!

THE NOVUS PROJECT began as a story of a few people getting real about their struggles with pornography and the effects it has had upon their lives and relationships. This discussion has grown into a worldwide conversation with thousands of people in almost 50 countries joining in. The most common response is that people have found themselves in bondage to pornography or have suffered the effects of broken relationships and feel as if they have nowhere to go.

WHAT'S THE SITUATION:

In our society today, solid statistical evidence shows that 60-70% of adult men and 20-30% of adult women admit to struggling with pornography to the point of addiction. A deeper look into these statistics shows that roughly 87% of young men and 31% of young women also report viewing pornography regularly.    To understand the totality of what we are communicating and the effects that an addiction to pornography has on an individual, a family, and all subsequent relationships, you must be willing to dig deep into what drives a person into an addiction in the first place; the devastating effects it produces, the neurological damage that ensues, (it effects the brain similar to cocaine use,) and the mind blowing potential for it’s destruction upon our society at large.

THE REAL TRUTH IS THAT PORNOGRAPHY IS ADDICTIVE, AND THE AVERAGE AGE A CHILD FIRST VIEW'S IT IN OUR COUNTRY IS 11 YEARS OLD...

THE NOVUS PROJECT is now expanding to become a mouthpiece to the youth in our society by bringing awareness and help regarding this deadly, and often ignored issue. The premise of The Novus Project will remain the same—to create honest environments by talking openly about the issue in the context of our human condition. What will now be added is the missional application of taking the message outward and helping communities become aware and resourced in the fight to help save lives.

It is our mission at THE NOVUS PROJECT to reach into the public school and collegiate systems by developing The Novus Project Program and resources that will expose the truth about the consequences of media misuse and pornography upon an individual’s brain and the damaging effects it produces in relationships, personal health and society at large.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

This is a huge issue!  The truth remains that you cannot make a dent in the issue of pornography without addressing the heart of the, “consumer” or struggling soul, and you cannot make headway with the struggling soul without addressing the issue of shame and isolation, and you cannot halt the damaging ripple effect it creates in society without addressing and caring for the people that are directly hurt by its depravity.  WE MUST BE WILLING TO TALK ABOUT IT!  We must be willing to look up long enough from our electronic devises to notice that the next generation is being lead to the slaughter by its misuse.  There must be forums and communities available to discuss the truth about what pornography does to the human brain and the hope that is available.  You see, an individual who struggles with pornography-which represents roughly three quarters of our society-is on a path neurologically that makes normal functioning only possible through increased intensity and frequency of viewing.  This means that this issue is going to get progressively worse for society as a whole.  The time is now to stand up and make a difference.

THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE GIVING TO:

The need is great, but the tools for the next generation are limited.  Most students have a smartphone, computer or some other electronic devise, but have no idea how to protect themselves.  The Novus Project is developing a programs to step into schools to bring awareness regarding the poison that students are allowing into their mind through pornography.  We're developmenting online forums, where students, parents and school faculty can access to discus with others like themselves who want to be free from this deadly trap or help others is also part of the mission.  We're developing videos from public figures who will speak against this issue and bring hope to those who see no hope.  We are taking steps to establish Novus groups in schools, where students can gather to join the movement against pornography, but also discuss the real and damaging issue that it brings.

Join us in this fight as we reach 1 life at a time...
