About Us

For almost 60 years, The Winslow Players have been bringing stories, laughter, and drama to our local community. From laugh-out-loud pantomimes in winter to springtime murder mysteries, farces, satires, and musicals, we strive to put on three memorable shows each year.

But behind the curtain, we are so much more than just an amateur dramatics group. We are a family built on teamwork, friendship, and shared passion. Whether someone is taking center stage, designing lighting, building sets, or simply making endless cups of tea and offering a listening ear during rehearsals, our group offers a safe, welcoming home for anyone looking to connect and express themselves.

Why We Need Your Help

This year has brought unexpected financial challenges and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. On top of rising operational costs and ongoing essential maintenance, like updating our technical equipment, lighting, and sound systems, these recent setbacks have placed a significant strain on our society’s funds.

Simply put, to ensure we can keep our doors open, keep ticket prices affordable, and continue putting on the performances our community knows and loves, we need a helping hand to bridge the gap.

Our Goal: £1,000

We are aiming to raise £1,000 to help cover these sudden costs and secure the immediate future of our upcoming shows, including our annual February pantomime and seasonal plays.

Every single pound raised goes directly into keeping our society running, our stage lit, and our community spirit thriving. Whether you can afford £5 or £50, or simply share this page with friends and neighbors, your support means the absolute world to all of us at Winslow Players.

Thank you for helping us navigate this tricky period and keeping local community theatre alive for years to come!
