The Virtual Village Feast 2020
Tax deductible
Since 2008, the Village Feast in Souris, Prince Edward Island has been an annual community celebration which raises funds for four local charities which are committed to feeding and clothing children in our community and abroad. Our charities include Farmers Helping Farmers, the Souris Food Bank, Coats for Kids, and the Families East Center. We have had to cancel our physical event due to Covid-19 but our commitments are just too important: We need them fulfilled. We will be conducting virtual activities and fundraising events to keep Village Feast together this year and in the years ahead. This GoFundMe page is one of the fundraising activities. To learn more about us truly dedicated volunteers and our story, visit www.villagefeast.ca.
The 17 cookhouses which Village Feast has built with past fundraising supply over 1.2 million meals annually to school kids in Kenya and we have donated over $110,000 to our Souris Food Bank.
We want to feed and clothe the hungry children to whom we are fully committed. We are setting a goal of $24,000; $10,000 for Kenyan gardeners, who fill our school cookhouses with nutritious food, $10,000 for the Souris Food Bank, $2,000 for our Families East Center for cooking classes, and $2,000 for Coats for Kids, to ensure local children get warm winter coats and boots. Covid-19 will heighten the need for our most vulnerable children. Please support us.
