'The Vigilante' a Batman Fan Film

'The Vigilante' is a student-produced noir crime thriller inspired by DC Comics' Batman, set in the harborside town of Newcastle. This short film explores the darker side of justice as Batman, the city’s enigmatic and battle-worn protector, faces off against Clayface, a jealous and vengeful antagonist. As the two clash, police commissioner Jim Gordan finds himself caught in the deadly game between vigilante justice and criminal chaos. With a blend of suspense and action, The Vigilante delves into themes of identity, revenge, and the thin line between hero and villain.

The film will be shot on location in Newcastle, capturing the moody, atmospheric backdrop of this coastal town. This is a chance to support a dynamic and ambitious production that puts a new spin on the legendary tale of Gotham's Caped Crusader.

Funds from this GoFundMe will be use to cover cost of the production including; catering, additional props, locations costs, digital storage and travel, etc.

If any additional funds are left after the project is completed they will be used to support other student film projects within Newcatle.

We currently have a finished script and are working to lock in the actors for the film. Below you can find some test footage we have already shot with different lenses and light setups.

For clarification, this is a fan-made film that is not being produced for any form of profit. Inspiration for the story and characters within has been drawn from Warner Bros, DC comics. The production does not wish to claim ownership over the rights of these stories or characters and is simply using them for a fun, learning exercise for filmmaking.
