The Tim Akers Memorial Fund

Hello everyone, Chase Akers here.

My Dad believed he would be healed.

He had so many plans and projects. A week ago, he was down in the home studio writing arrangements for three record projects.

Now, he is healed. And now, he is in perfect alignment with a bigger plan. God’s plan.

Tim Akers was a man whose love and creativity knew no bounds. My father had a bigger than life personality, and he had a mission to unite everyone, across religious sectors, political aisles, race, generations and certainly in his music. His vast discography shows just that. Unfortunately, his early exit left many of us wondering what to do next. Who will write the charts? Who will lead the band? How does this work without my friend, father, grandfather, and most of all husband?

My dad was nowhere near ready to retire creatively or financially. He was in his most creative and productive years. He was still investing in equipment and facilities. He, myself, nor my mom were anywhere close to ready.

His legacy resounds through all of us. It echoes through time and will bring us together for years to come. Would you consider helping me ease at least one (very real) pain point by donating to a fund for both final expenses and ongoing living expenses while my mom regroups and learns a whole new life?

THE MEMORIAL FUND:

I am organizing this memorial fund in order to benefit my mother, Dianna, and to lift her up in love and protection.

This money will help her pay for the mortgage, groceries, and general “life expenses” that we all have.

The funds will go directly to her after they pass through GoFundMe.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

Putting it simply, my Mom needs help. Spread this fundraiser far and wide, and let’s show her just how far Tim’s community reaches. Let's raise this money.

Since his passing, we have received countless messages, calls, videos, and stories about Dad and the love for him and his family. We are seeing all of them and will respond when we can!

If you cannot donate, a simple call, text, or an “I love you” to my mom or sister is perfect.
