Hey Welcome to the Tech Sisters GoFundMe Page, this is our story
Our vision is to give every Tech Sister working in the events industry around the world the opportunity to feel encouraged, empowered and equipped through support, training, and networking. Creating Regular discussions towards RUOK, latest equipment, software, sharing general tips as well as offering career opportunities along the way. We are focused on helping everyone at every stage move towards their goals, on a personal and career level.
We were founded on the 25th of January 2019, with a strong vision and focus to see change. We started with what we had and have been busy creating this thriving community. With more than 500 members on our Facebook group, we are growing at an incredible speed, helping more and more people feel supported and empowered. Our community is a place that members know, through all life’s seasons, we are supporting and empowering them.
As we grow, we want to ensure our members still feel they can connect in a more local and practical way. So we are developing a program to help us meet them locally. Each member has the opportunity to get involved in their local group which has group mentors who organise regular catchups, events and the like. Our local groups are very important elements of the overall vision. They ensure members feel as connected & empowered with 500 members as they would with 10,000 members.
So to kick start our Tech Connects and to tell more people about The Tech Sisters we saw a wonderful opportunity to do this whilst being involved at ENTECH2020 our industry’s roadshow which is going all around Australia in March 2020, So Jess will be meeting with our mentors and members before each event in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane to kick start these programs.
Whilst ENTECH is an incredible opportunity it does beer some costs, as well as some other projects we are working on completing, such as our “website development” project and whilst Jess, is providing financially to the overall vision, we could achieve these goals and much more with your added support. So, from the whole team here at The Tech Sisters we would be grateful for your contribution.
