Since Hollywood Handbook fans are the best fans in the world, let's do something to support the current movement and stand with protestors. The Scoop Troop does not support racism or police brutality. Let's show our support by making a group donation to relevant organizations. We are going to use ActBlue to spread our donation evenly across 5 organizations: Black Lives Matter Global Network, Reclaim the Block, NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Color of Change Education Network, and The Okra Project.
My name is Reid Andrews. I am from Pekin, Illinois. I do not have a personal relationship to these organizations. The fan base of the podcast we listen to helped me research and choose these 5 organizations based on the work they do. The money will be evenly split across the 5 organizations we have chosen to donate to. Those organizations are free to do with the money whatever they wish. I will be withdrawing the money into a personal account and then donating 1/5th of the total collected amount to each of the 5 organizations above using the ActBlue donation platform.
