The Right to Clean Water- A Youth Project to Promote Health in Indigenous Communities in the High Andes
Children and youth living in the high Andes in Peru lack access to clean drinking water. As a result, many children suffer from disease and malnutrition.
Caden (17), Seth (17), and Isaiah Albright (15) are raising funds to purchase biosand water filters for remote communities in the high Andes. While living in Peru (Spring 2018), they will prepare filter materials and assist with construction and installation. In addition, Caden, Seth and Isaiah are working to develop partnerships between students in Peru and three local schools in Calgary.
Any and all financial contributions are appreciated. For each sum of $100 USD, one family will receive a water filter with related support and education – providing them with permanent and secure water treatment. All donations will be transferred to DESEA (an established Peruvian NGO).
Supporters will receive frequent project updates.
Thank-you in advance for your generosity!
