The Quiet Corner Feeds The Quiet Corner

Help “The Quiet Corner feeds The Quiet Corner” through this initiative that will help support our local restaurants in this difficult time, while also providing meals to our residents that need it the most. Small businesses are the heart of our area and will need as much support as we can provide in the coming weeks and months. This is one way we felt we could make an impact as a community. Local families are feeling the impact through unpaid time off/loss of work. This will lead to more families in our community relying on the services provided in our local towns that help our most vulnerable residents. We will be working to collect donations that will then be used to purchase gift cards to local restaurants. From there, we will provide those gift cards to the local town human/social service departments and networks to be distributed to residents are enrolled in their programs such subsidized housing, senior living, free/reduced lunch program. They will also distribute to residents that call in need of support as a result of loss of income from of COVID-19. Lastly, residents can also be anonymously nominated if in need of support from our program by any resident. 100% of donations will go to this cause and every dollar helps us make a difference within our own community. We are not a non-profit organization. We are comprised of a group of people from the “Quiet Corner” area looking to help support our community during this time.

The goal of “Stonington Feeds Stonington” is to provide help to their local restaurants and provide meals for their community residents that are in need. We know many small business owners in the area and how much the current situation is impacting them as well as families that have already lost work.

Much like “Stonington Feeds Stonington” our hope is to find a way to help support some of our local business and our families within the community. We hope that this also inspires other people to do the same with in our community.
