The Queens Child Project - End Period Poverty

Donation protected
Two Zim Girls have started the Queens Child Project for girls and women in Zimbabwe. Our first campaign to help end period poverty aims to deliver aid to disadvantaged girls and women in rural areas who are unable to afford sanitary products and essential personal hygiene products.

Zimbabwe's economic situation has deteriorated further since 2007. It's reported that the lowest-paid government employees are now earning the equivalent of $30 a month, in GBP that is roughly £23.24, this is partly due to hyperinflation and the introduction of new currencies. Many girls and women are now failing to afford essential personal hygiene products such as sanitary towels, underwear, dental hygiene products (toothbrushes and toothpaste) bath essentials (soap, shampoo and conditioner), first aid kits and the list goes on.

7 in 10 girls in Zimbabwe do not use commercial sanitary products, and 6 in 10 girls miss school every month due to a lack of sanitary products.

With your generosity, we can reduce period poverty.

We are also accepting donations of the items listed below.

* Sanitary towels (Pads)

* Tampons

* Underwear

* Dental hygiene products (Toothbrush and Toothpaste)

* Bath essential: (Soap, Shampoo and Conditioner)

* Wipes
