Thirty years ago, Gary was a reporter, columnist, photo journalist and later editor of the daily newspaper in Nebraska City. Now, he is returning to champion a regional weekly newspaper to bring quality reportage and photography to readers and to better chronicle the rich history of this region. Everyone needs a champion, and in this case Gary Di Silvestro and his associates will champion more than a cause, this newspaper will portray a way of life. For Southeast Nebraska, this paper will celebrate the region’s rich past, diverse present and promising future.
