The Nuna Bike Project

Hello and welcome to The Nuna Bike Project!

Now what’s better than being a kid on a bike? The satisfying crunch of gravel under your tires, the exhilaration of the wind in your hair, the pounding of your heartbeat, and the thrill of making your own velocity! It’s a terrific way for a kid to explore their land.

A Polar Knowledge Canada employee initiative intends to make that happen for every graduating grade six student in Cambridge Bay. Polar Knowledge Canada employees have launched the Nuna Bike Project.

In recognition of their achievement, we are raising funds to gift a bicycle to each of the graduating grade six students at Kullik Ilihakvik Elementary School. We want to make sure every grade six graduate has the opportunity to ride their own bike.

Every donation will go directly to the purchase of bicycles.

Our Goal: 30 new bicycles

OUR VISION: Allow children to expand the geographic area where they can safely play and explore during the summer break. Increase their physical activity and as a result, their physical health and mental well-being.
