We need your support! The Community Law Project helps people with no access to legal advice or representation to compile case facts and supporting evidence. We work completely free of charge, using graduates and trainee law students who can support and guide people going through the legal process. All our work is completely voluntary, so we really need your support! We work with those who face legal difficulties including personal injury, clinical negligence, employment, housing and tenant, asylum, family and more.

We need your support! The Community Law Project helps people with no access to legal advice or representation to compile case facts and supporting evidence. We work completely free of charge, using graduates and trainee law students who can support and guide people going through the legal process. All our work is completely voluntary, so we really need your support! We work with those who face legal difficulties including personal injury, clinical negligence, employment, housing and tenant, asylum, family and more.
Research indicates that people on low incomes have been made vulnerable and more likely to face problems accessing legal remedies since the passing of the LASPO Act 2012. We aim to bridge the gap between people who need access to justice and legal remedies alongside the professionals who can assist them.
People come to us with a wide range of legal problems. We listen, give practical advice, and put key documents and evidence together so that people can talk to their legal representative with confidence. Our work also offers young lawyers the chance to put their learning into practice, gaining valuable experience helping those who need it most.

My name is Daniel Agyemang and I am honoured to be one of the team leaders and a paralegal at the National Community Law Project CIC (NCLP CIC). Growing up I was very fortunate to receive help whenever I needed it and felt I had reached a stage where there was a chance for me to give back to those put in difficult positions. I have developed a passion for law for over a decade studying it in A Levels, undergraduate in university and Masters. The NCLP CIC has been excellent in helping me put all that I had studied into practice. Ever since there was a change to how legal aid would be awarded has meant the time and dedication that some people’s cases needed has not been granted. I have been fortunate enough to work with a great team in providing access to justice for clients by bridging the gap between them and the legal system.
My name is Zuzana Kučerková and I have graduated from Nottingham Trent University with an LLB in International Law. During my degree, I explored various areas of English and international law including intellectual property, international competition and international trade law. My degree allowed me to develop my problem-solving, communication, analytical and teamwork skills. My plan is to qualify as a commercial solicitor at an international law firm. In my free time I enjoy volunteering and advising on contract, consumer, employment and immigration law matters.
I think The National Community Law Project is doing really important work. I am so glad to be part of anorganisation which helps those most vulnerable in society and provides them with support. I really enjoying enjoy being part of the team and working on legal matters with the other members. I am very grateful to Dane and Daniel for founding The National Community Law Project and allowing me to be part of this incredible community.
My name is Joe Lloyd-Perks and I have been a part of the National Community Law Project since the organisations launch and so I’ve seen first hand the impact that our work has made to many individuals lives. The project has been incredible as it has enabled me to significantly benefit the community whilst also personally develop key skills. It’s been an eye opening experience for me to have heard our clients stories and the struggles that they face and this only goes to show how invaluable our support has been for them. Any donations people can offer us will ensure that we will not only continue to support individuals with their legal problems but also allow the project to grow so that we can make an even larger impact on the nation as a whole.'
My name is Katie Smith, I’m a final year law with criminology student and am very proud to be part of this project. I come from a working class background, so I believe strongly in the ethos of NCLP, of expanding access to justice and helping our community.
My name is Lyne Werechan and I am a graduate in banking & Financial Planning. I am currently studying a law conversion course master's in law at the university of Law Bloomsbury.
I joined the NCLP over 4 months ago to volunteer my knowledge (both legal and Finance) and skillset gained over the years as well as help the community thrive. I became passionate about the law seeing the impact from the death of George Floyd in the United States in 2020 and the injustice faced by people around me and those I do not know. As said by the Socrates "you do not know what you don't know" and that is okay and one of the reasons why the NCLP is here to help. The dedicated team will assist with case planning, legal research, compiling evidence required and where needed structuring such evidence in a cohesive manner to present to their legal firm.
My name is Elisha Kelly and I am a recent Business graduate and I am currently studying MA Law. The project is so important within today’s communities. One of the key values of the organisation is to to be able to support those who can not afford legal advice and to make a difference.
I am Callie Webster a current LLB Law with Criminology student starting my career in law. I developed an interest in law from an early age and want to help bridge the gap in access to legal support which is also one of the aims of the National Community Law Project. This amazing project supports those who need it and helps vulnerable people access to justice and legal remedies.
Hi my name is Heather Gordon and I have been working as a Paralegal with The National Community Law Project since May of this year.
I was initially motivated to join by the overriding mission of the project - promoting the interests of individuals with difficulty in accessing legal support for a range of socio-economic reasons and sadly falling through the cracks of the justice system due to legal aid cuts.
From perhaps a more selfish perspective, I decided to join to gain practical legal experience remotely. This has been incredibly beneficial to lots of students as such opportunities have not been as readily available during the pandemic.
During my time with the project I have interacted with clients facing a range of different issues, many being quite vulnerable and requiring a level of support unavailable to them through traditional channels. At NCLP volunteers always work their hardest to offer solutions to clients and provide help in as empathetic and understanding a manner as possible.
I am so thankful for my experience with the project to date. All are made to feel welcome by organisers ( regardless of degree and background), and I really do implore anyone with an interest in helping others to join.
My name is Cristina Niculae and I am a senior LLB International and European Law student at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. My interest in law started as a compelling desire to right the wrongs I witnessed as a result of growing up in a corrupt country. For as long as I can remember, justice and fairness have always been my guiding values. I always aimed to help others in need and recently I decided to put my legal skills to use for those who need legal aid the most. As I was searching for an opportunity to gain practical experience in the legal field, I discovered The National Community Law Project CIC. While I have been a member for only a few of months, I can confidently say that this initiative and the team built around it are making a positive impact for many people. Offering both invaluable experience to young professionals as well as assisting people in need with their legal matters, this initiative brings an abundance of hope and trust in the work performed. The dedication and eagerness to help others is present everywhere you look and I am so grateful to be part of such a wonderful, efficient and incredible community!
My name is Cassandra Stead and I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration specialising in finance at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Norway. I am now commencing the LLM Law and Legal Practice course at BPP University. I am interested in law because of how varied it is, and the international, challenging and stimulating nature of the day-to-day work. I aspire to work as a commercial lawyer with a focus on finance law.
The work that The National Community Law Project does is very important as we provide access to legal assistance and information for people who are struggling to find support. As a charitable organisation, we survive off the donations we receive. To continue supporting our community we need your help.
