The Motsinger's Mission

Hello All,

I am reaching out on behalf of two of my dearest friends, their three children, and the five children they have brought into their home under emergency cirumstances.  

Michele and Jacob are truly some of the most wonderful people on the face of the earth.  God has blessed my family with their friendship and our country with their service to our nation.  The Motsingers currently serve on behalf of the United States Air Force in Georgia and are attached to Ft. Gordon.  Years ago their youngest daughter Autumn Rose began to notice two young boys playing across the street and was desperate to join in on the fun.  The oldest of the two boys invited her to play and they became fast friends.  The sweetest little 7 year old boy you could possibly imagine made a permanent place in his heart for an eager 2 year old girl.  He was very patient with her and the two of them became inseparable.  Michele and Jacob naturally befriended the parents and welcomed the rest of their children over daily to play and to share in snacks and meals because they sensed there was trouble at home.  They wanted to maintain a line of trust with the parents so that they were able to help whenever they could.  

Last night the Motsingers received one of the biggest shocks of their lives.  Those 5 lovely children that used to be their neighbors were brought to their house by Child Protective Services. Jacob and Michele were told that the children would not be allowed to return home or remain in the custody of their parents at this time and the state wondered if the Motsingers would open up their home to these children for the foreseeable future so that they could avoid being separated from one another and spread throughout the state.  Naturally Michele and Jacob accepted this responsibility without hesitation.  Jacob, Michele, Autumn Rose, Kingston and Leon love these children and could not bear to see any more tragedy befall this family.  So, in one evening the Motsingers became a household of 10 overnight.  The children who are 8,6,3,2 and 1 respectively, are now safe and together by the grace of God and the Motsingers.  

These children have nothing.  Some were removed from their home without a full set of clothes on their person.  All the love, generosity and protection that this wonderful family can offer these children can only go so far.  They need help, desperately.  There are no clothes, shoes, carseats, beds, bedding, toiletries or extra food for these children beyond what Jacob and Michele can immediately provide on the salary of one enlisted military member. Contrary to popular belief there is no state assisted funding for displaced children until they are officially in the foster care system and as of now the children aren't in the system, they are simply in emergency custody.  All of the money donated to these children will be used to take care of all of their needs beyond shelter.  There are two waves of purchases that need to be made.  As I mentioned these children have no clothes, no shoes, no winter coats or school supplies.  These all need to be purchased immediately as well as bunk beds, pack n plays, sheets and blankets, not counting the astronomical grocery bill that will be on its way.  The second wave of purchases will be used for maintaining the comfort for these children as they continue to stay with the Motsingers.  There are holidays on the way and birthdays and school fees and the list just rolls on.  

Please donate in any way that you can so that we can ensure that the Motsingers can fulfill their heart’s desire and the Lord’s will in keeping these children together and cared for.  Let us all rally together so that we may bless them so that they can save these children from any more heartache, especially as the holidays draw near.
