Kind Collective: Pandemic Relief for the Homeless

Amidst the significant impact that COVID-19 has inflicted globally, one of the often overlooked groups is the homeless community. The shortage of essential supplies and the increase in cost of sanitation materials have placed the homeless community in a precarious spot as one of the groups most disproportionately affected by the crisis. In addition, many individuals experiencing homelessness are among the most vulnerable to the virus due to compromised immune systems and chronic health conditions.
As the streets remain empty, it can be difficult for individuals with unstable living conditions to find the means to stay independent, and many are looking to local shelters for relief. Shelters are facing high demands for accommodation and provisions such as clothing, food, and essential living supplies during a time when donation influx is not as steady.
The Kind Collective is a charitable project in support of the Mission Services of London, a group of shelters that serve for those who face poverty, homelessness, addiction, and mental illness. They provide safe shelter, food, clothing, outreach, counselling, support services and referrals to other programs and agencies through five local branches.
Your donation goes to fund pandemic relief measures, including additional staffing in housekeeping and direct client support, PPE to keep staff and clients safe, food to provide meals, and essential supplies for daily living and sanitation.
Any monetary donations are appreciated and will be directly donated to the Mission Services of London.
