- Thanks to all the donations the first go around, I was able to assemble the most incredible team of collaborators for production and we have wrapped our shoot! It went better than I could have ever dreamed. And now comes the post-production process: things like editing, special effects, sound mixing, score composition, and a whole lot more.
- Any donation, no matter the size, will go towards creating with the highest quality that we can. Doing so will up our chances of acceptance into short film festivals and be a launchpad to production on other films that I'm developing. Most importantly, my hope is to end up with a piece that will be meaningful specifically to my lgbtq+ community, as well as to anyone who loves and supports us. I sincerely hope you'll consider being a part of that!
- This film will be a dreamlike story about queer people and the empowerment that comes from finding our community. We start with a slice of lonely life, where the main character has trouble connecting to their surroundings as well as their family back home. Through slightly bizarre circumstances, they come upon an invite to a party. What happens next leads them down a path to finally finding connection: to their family, to their new chosen family, and most of all to themselves.
- Representation of queer folks, especially nonbinary people, in the media is essential. We want to send a message to anyone that feels alone that they are wanted. All they have to do is accept "The Invite" ;)
