Danny is an integral man, a man with emotion and feeling whose life purpose is to help others. During COVID he has provided meals to the community and expected nothing in return, a struggling Restaurant marketer who has been hit hard by the pandemic. But…. instead of wallowing in self-pity, he has focused on giving back. This selfless man is now starting up another charitable venture to unite the young and the old in a way that is going to change generations. Literally!
Danny has identified through his community work that there are vast amounts of people living in solitude within his community who spend long lonely days and nights by themselves.
Do you know someone like that?
Maybe your Grandmother, Grandfather, Mother, Father, an ex-war veteran, a widowed Neighbour down the road the list goes on…
What comfort would it give you to know that someone was looking out for them and they were able to form meaningful symbiotic relationships to feel wanted again, that someone is interested in what they have to say?
Why is it that the elderly often lose their voice, they are no longer heard and are easily forgotten? They need to matter and the youth will thrive from learning from them especially in this instant world we live in today it’s a win-win!!
Danny’s vision
Danny is aiming to raise enough money to buy his first motorised bicycle a vehicle to pick up the lonely and the vulnerable within his community.
The chauffeur-driven bicycle would provide a door to door service accompanied by a Chauffeur and youthful volunteer who will then escort them to a local café, restaurant etc to take them out for afternoon tea, a spot of lunch or a breakfast break! The intergenerational connection will only create meaningful relationships which have been scientifically proven to improve both groups wellbeing!
The purpose of the Just Giving Page is here to help raise money to buy the first motorised bicycle to make this dream a reality. A bicycle costs approximately 2,500 – This will be the start of the Intergenerational fleet is starting with one and let's see where this go!
