The Graduates - A brand new Musical!

Hi!

I'm Alice May, a singer/songwriter and recent graduate with a first-class degree in Songwriting. Like many people leaving university, I found myself feeling a bit lost. So I wrote The Graduates; a heartfelt coming-of-age musical about six friends navigating the chaos, confusion, and beauty of life after graduation.

About the Show

The Graduates is a brand-new musical full of catchy songs, relatable characters, and emotional storytelling. Set in the messy aftermath of university life, it explores love, friendship, anxiety, ambition and what happens when life doesn’t go according to plan. Bursting with energy, humour, and hope, it’s for anyone who's ever asked: what now?

After a successful preview at Chichester Fringe, we're proud to bring our full-length debut production to the Golden Goose Theatre in Lambeth on October 10th and 11th, 2025.

Why This Matters

This show was born from my real experiences and the experiences of so many young adults struggling with identity, uncertainty, and pressure after university. The message at its core is simple but powerful: everything will be okay. That’s something I believe people, especially young people, don’t hear enough.

The Graduates is more than a show; it’s an inclusive, accessible space where performers and audiences alike can feel seen. Our cast reflects the diversity of our generation, and our mission is to create opportunities for emerging talent from all backgrounds.
