2020 The Giving Snowman in memory of David Nuñez

The Giving Snowman was created by my late husband, David Richard Nuñez, many years ago when I was working at my previous school as their school counselor. That year, I had a particularly high homeless population so David (who struggled with homelessness as a child himself) took it up on himself to talk his company into sponsoring the families at my school. That year we helped 35 families and over 100 kids providing toys, clothes and gift cards. The tradition continued for years. Tragically David died young at the age of 38. His wonderful company continued to honor his memory by sponsoring our local families at our different schools. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented them from being able to support us this year.

My children and I want to continue to keep this going to honor David's spirit which now more than ever is needed in this world. David was a giver. If he had $30 left for the whole week, he would share it with you.  Over the years, we have helped over 200 families and about 1,000 children. Any support will help.
