The Giving Bag, Feeding the Hungry

Our Catering business is located in the Heart of the Provo Utah. We have been in business for 20 years. We are 4 blocks away from the busiest hospital in our County (Utah Valley Regional Medical Center), close to the Provo City Police Department, fire stations, the food coalition, food bank, and close to businesses that are still open where employees are going to work each day in their separate offices. I personally live in a neighborhood in Provo where there are many citizens over the age of 65 who do not want to leave their homes to go to the store to buy groceries due to the risk of the Covid-19. Others are single and have a hard time cooking for themselves. Families where one, or both parents have lost their jobs.
These are the people that would benefit from our services.
I have a large kitchen to make meals and eager employees (with little to no hours), to work and serve where needed. We have taken all safety
precautions to keep our facility sanitized and our employees wearing
masks and gloves in all food preparation as well as delivering food w/out social contact. At the present time, we have been serving the community with the food donated from catered events that were canceled who had asked that this food be given to help others during this pandemic. We started “The Giving Bag” to distribute this food into the right hands. Within the next two weeks we will be running out of those items that were donated. We have also set up a “Pantry Essentials” option at our business for people to purchase items that are hard to get at the grocery stores. They can also purchase “To Go” meals from our Website (www.landmarkcateringutah.com)
These two options have not provided enough funds to support our overhead and our employee wages. Our wish is that we continue to prepare food and get it into the hands of those who are struggling the most in our community. We are ready and willing and would be so grateful for the opportunity to keep blessing lives through keeping people healthy and safe.
