Earlier today (5/28/18) Shelby's home was involved in an explosion/fire. This left very little of the house and their possessions inside. Both of her parents are in the hospital with burns and other injuries, and are speculated to remain there for at least a month. Shelby is currently staying with friends as she copes with this tragedy. 

Obviously when a house fire occurs, there are a lot of costs that need to be covered, not to mention any medical bills they will face when her parents heal. This is probably just a drop in the bucket for this family, but will be invaluable to them. The quicker this money is raised, the sooner they can worry a little bit less.
