Hi my name is Julie. I have a best friend named Gabrijela. She is from Slovenia. Her town in Slovenia has been having very bad torrential storms and they have now lost their cherished family home and all of their possessions. Insurance did not cover this catastrophe.

The entire property / valley was contaminated with heavy metals like lead, cadmium and zinc. Any remaining fruit and vegetable gardens had to be discarded. It will take years and huge efforts before anything suitable for human consumption can be planted again.

They are a wonderful family of eight that have worked very hard for their beautiful home and took pride in it. They are simple people that have lived off of the land. These funds will be used to help them rebuild their lives.
