Your future was given away before you even knew it existed. You can't miss what you never knew was possible.
You won't even have ideas when the toolbox is empty and you’re forced to reinvent the wheel.
Not everyone wants to "code", or become an Internet "personality".
Some people want to create and make real "things". Some people want to hold tools in their hands.
America used to be the leading producer of real things. America used to be a good place for people who want to make real things.
But we gave all that away — to other countries — along with the future of our children and grandchildren.
This is why we say:
Manufacturing is National Security. That's a given.
Manufacturing is MORE THAN National Security. That's a truth.
And we are building the citizen-action website to make that truth politically unavoidable.
ManufacturingIsNationalSecurity.org will give Americans tools to identify lawmakers, contact officials, send emails and letters, use phone scripts, share talking points, track outreach, and push a clear manufacturing-first policy agenda at the federal, state, and local level.
America was built for and by people who want to make real things.
Got an idea? Take it down the street — prototype shop, toolmaker, parts supplier, factory floor — and turn it into a product the world actually needed.
Idea to reality, fast, local.
But we shipped all of that overseas and called it efficiency.
And now... have you noticed the explosion of new products coming from the countries we gave our manufacturing power to?
Who has the latest gear for product development, rapid prototyping, and the most advanced manufacturing floors?
They do.
Who buys all those things they make with all that muscle?
We do.
America should be a leader in EVERYTHING. Not a buyer of everything.
The United States of America should be internally self-sufficient.
Every large country blessed like ours — with a wealth of resources and a healthy, eager population — should be self-sufficient.
Militarily self-sufficient. Economically self-sufficient. Food, energy, and everyday-life self-sufficient.
MINS is the campaign to make this official policy:
- A constitutional amendment recognizing manufacturing as national security
- A cabinet-level Secretary of Manufacturing
- A legislator pledge — on the record, or voted out
Back this. Then go build something.
