The Felix Project - Sacristan Fast

Teddies school charity this year is The Felix Project. This is a charity very close to the hearts of many of the pupils in Teddies as it was made in honour of Felix Byam Shaw who was a friend to many of the pupils at Teddies and sadly passed away in the summer of 2014.
In our capital city, thousands of children go to school hungry each morning.
Young mothers skip meals to feed their families. Elderly people are malnourished and those with a mental illness are often ignored.
The Felix Project collects fresh, nutritious food that cannot be sold. They then deliver this surplus food to charities so they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society.

So how are we helping?
The Head Sacristans and the Chaplains (Lola, Eloise, Sam, Jamie, Jack, Harry, Emily, Jeptha, Danielle, Sadie, Rev Kerr and Rev Jones) have decied to do a 24 hour fast in order to experience the same hunger thousands of children in the UK feels everyday. Although this is only a small gesture we are hoping to make a huge help.
