TJ is currently in the end stage of a rare genetic condition called Fatal Familial Insomia (FFI). FFI is a prion disease which causes a loss of nerve cells in the brain and has caused TJ symptoms of dementia, hallucinations, trouble moving and trouble breathing to name a few. FFI has no cure and TJ was just diagnosed very recently and given an estimated 7 months to live but unfortunately took a turn for the worse and is not expected to pull through the next few weeks. TJ’s family would appreciate any contributions to help with his impending funeral expenses and living expenses for his wife Tiffani (Hatch) Mayhew, and children, as she’s out of work and by his side in the hospital.
