We have fell on hard times. We were once a middle class family now facing eviction. My husband lost his job due to no fault of his own this past April. He is deligently looking for full-time employment in the mean while.
We have exhausted all our savings and we owe back rent for the last three months. We have lived at our residence for eleven years. We have been able to come up with a portion of it but we need $3500.00 in order to move into a more affordable apartment that is for low income people. The sad thing is in order for our autistic non-verbal fourteen year old son to stay in his school we have to reside in this county. My son has excelled in a school for children with autism. He has accomplished many feats and surpassed goals that were considered impossible for him to learn. My son once was so aggressive he was being considered for residential treatment in a six month behavioral program. He is doing very well and no longer is aggressive. All due to this wonderful school he attends. We need to stay In this county and the $3500.00 will allow us to do so.
We also face becoming homeless if we can not pay the back rent due by November 18, 2017. We've sold personal belongings and used up all our savings to stay afloat but now all our funds are depleted. We have no where to go and no family support. We are desperate.
It would mean so much to us because we don't want our son to suffer. If he is taken out of his school he will regress. He's come such a long way and is doing so well. As a mother I don't think I will be able to cope seeing my child loose skills that he worked so hard to master.
