The Delancey Family Needs Your Help

My very good friend, Gregory Delancey, and his family are going through an extremely difficult time. They need your help. 

In January 2020, Gregory's mother; Rhonda Delancey suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke. This caused her to have ruptured blood vessels which lead to bleeding inside her brain. She is currently in a vegetative state, unable to move or speak. Even with years of therapy, she will have  difficulty speaking, breathing and will have paralysis in different parts of her body. Rhonda is still currently in the hospital and will most likely not be able to return home for over a year. When she does finally go home, she will need 24/7 medical supervision. 

Rhonda Delancey is a Healthcare worker who dedicated her life to taking care of people in need. She has been a CNA and home health aide for over 22 years in New York City and Westchester County.  She is the loving mother of her 5 children; Shawnika, Arking, Nicole, Gregory, and Vernasia.

After learning of the stroke, her son Gregory made the tough decision to leave his life in Florida behind in order to move back to his mother's home in NYC to raise his 8 year old sister Vernasia with the help of his older sister Shawnika. 

One portion of the donations received from this campaign will go to aid in Rhonda's recovery. She will need years of physical therapy, doctor visits, as well as numerous other medical needs. The other portion will go to help Gregory and Shawnika with raising their 8 year old autistic sister, Vernasia. They have committed to putting their current lives and goals on hold in order to give Vernasia the upbringing their mother would of given her.
