The Deaus Foster a Refugee Student
Donation protected
This past school year, I had the honor of teaching several refugee high school students in Kalamazoo. Many of these kids were orphaned at a young age and are in this new country without any family at all. After getting to know one of these students in particular, a boy from Afghanistan, Chris and I knew we wanted to do something to help. Although we do not have the financial means to fully support this student, we realized that what we do have to offer is a place in our home.
What we are asking for on behalf of this student, are donations to help cover his living expenses. He does have a part time job but is also going to high school full time - including summer school - and trying to save up for when he lives on his own.
If you would consider offering your love and support to this boy who has had very little of both of those things in his life, it would be a true gift.
