The Dashner Family House Fire

Friend, neighbor and mother, Rachelle Dashner's new family home in Dallas was tragically destroyed by fire on Saturday, November 12th.

While Rachelle prepared breakfast for her sons, home from college and work that morning, they had no idea a fire had started in the attic above their heads that would quickly spread to engulf the roof. By the grace of God, Rachelle, her sons and pets were able to evacuate just as the home filled with thick black smoke.

When the fire department left, there was little remaining to salvage, but Rachelle, her son and neighbors spent the rest of the day putting aside what they could with the intention of picking it up the next morning. Unfortunately, when they arrived Sunday, they found the house in flames again due to smoldering debris in the attic. The destruction was epic. The home is unlivable, their belongings gone and Rachelle's place of business lost.

It's impossible to know this family without knowing their love of community, family and friends. Rachelle Dashner never met a stranger and all that know her have been touched by her deep empathy and generosity. It's time for those around her to give to Rachelle as she has given to others.
