The Blind Bowler with the Biggest Heart

FEATURED IN THE NEWS - link at bottom

Hey Everyone,

This is Terry Kenney - the coolest man in the entire world. When Terry was just 15 years old, he got a brain tumor that left him 95% blind. He never let this disability stop him from doing what he loved.

His dad was a local cop who became a paraplegic from a gunshot wound. His mother developed Alzheimer's. Terry acted as a caregiver to his family for over a decade, doing whatever he was physically able to, only hoping for his family's comfort.

Now in his 60's, Terry has spent the last 8 years bagging groceries at Publix. While it's tough to think of possible jobs for the visually impaired, any company would be blessed to have Terry on their team.

He enjoys bowling and riding his bicycle (don't ask me how he does either). If you are ever in a bowling alley and hear a spirited "Yeeee Hawww," look out because you're probably in the presence of greatness. Terry also writes postcards to his friends every day because he knows it puts a smile on their faces.

My friend Zane and I grew a deep connection with Terry after meeting him at the bowling alley. Even being 40 years apart, Terry can fit into any crowd. He inspires me every day with his positive attitude, compassion, and the largest heart I've ever encountered. We want to give back to Terry for all the good he truly deserves.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Terry's new bike got stolen off a pole outside of Walmart.

As of now, we've reached out to companies where Terry would have the opportunity to spread his joy, such as elder care facilities. He loves making a difference, and we would greatly appreciate any connection that might help him find a job where he gets to put smiles on people's faces.

We'd like to raise money to buy him a sleek new bike, visual aids to help him write postcards and navigate, help him relocate to a better living condition, and any amount that could help him in the long run.

Please give what you can for this genuinely magnificent human.

Much love,
Dylan
