Feeding NEEDY in Jam.: 'BLESSINGS" Soup Kitchen
Spende geschützt
Hello:
I am Beverley of the msbevsproductions LLC. So COVID happened and the people around the world who were struggling to keep their heads above the waters before the pandemic got pushed farther into poverty following the pandemic. I have consistently budgeted and supported many needy senior citizens in Jamaica, West Indies and recently I got an epiphany about starting a soup kitchen so that those who are most affected can get 2 hot meals 3 days per week. I found 2 persons- MsBevBrown (life with Bevbrown) and MsDawkins of the iHs Ministry in Jamaica who are cooking and delivering the meals to those people 3 days per week. We have grown from 10 needy persons to 17 persons in 2 weeks. I send the funds, they do the heavy lifting. So far we - The "Blessings" soup Kitchen have been putting smiles on faces.
The challenge is real though. The dinners are being prepared in the manager's small living room area. We are now building a kitchen to prepare meals and store resources comfortably. Some support is truly needed as we continue Onward and Upwards. Thank you.
Back then my manager had such a small space that was her living room, dining room and kitchen. She never complained but instead prepare breakfast and dinner 3 days per week to feed the needy ones- 19 needy ones. Today she has a bigger space- she has a kitchen. She has running water. She doesn't have to wash dishes in the rain anymore. Thank you donors. It was a tough go, but we did it.
