The Australian women's team has qualified for the upcoming Beach Handball World Championships in Crete and The World Games in Alabama. Attending these comes at a considerable cost to the players as the sport is self-funded, and covid lockdowns have pushed two major tournaments into one year. Help support our girls as they represent Australia on the international stage!
The funds raised will help fund training camps before tournaments, team uniforms and the costs associated with support staff.
A bit of history:
Beach handball is an exciting sport developed as a faster-paced, non-contact version of indoor handball. The sport is popular in Europe and South America, with large handball federations and sponsors behind the teams. It’s a small but growing sport in Australia which unfortunately means that all players in both indoor and beach disciplines are self-supported. Despite this, our beach teams are consistently represented at major beach handball tournaments, including the World Championships, World Games and World Beach Games.
