The Art Kitchen - Free Community Art Making Space
Donation protected
Please help me create a space for free community art making for everyone in the County!
Art making inherently transcends differences, and The Art Kitchen will bring people together, and help build community wellbeing.
Using the Art Hives art space model, The Art Kitchen will be a drop-in for art making that invites community members regardless of their age, gender, or abilities, to gather and express themselves through art and craft. So everyone benefits!
It will be a place to meet, make art, create together with our neighbours, and to contribute ideas and expertise through skill sharing.
We’ll have regular weekly drop-in sessions at space provided by the Prince Edward Learning Centre and Loyola in Picton.
We also plan to hold pop-up events with potluck meals at the Picton Town Hall and in the park in the summer.
So that everyone can take part, and that there's no cost for those who want to take part, I need to raise some funds for art materials, promotion and other related costs to make it all happen.
Our launch for The Art Kitchen is planned for Family Day, Feb. 18th, so I'm hoping to have the funds my then.
If you can, please consider donating. I would be so grateful!
Thanks and I hope to see you in The Art Kitchen!
