Thanksgiving Help for MRPS Families

Greetings Neighbors,
We are a group of Montpelier Roxbury School District parents who are interested in helping other MRPS families in need this Thanksgiving. You may remember that we did a similar fundraiser last year for Union Elementary School. Last year, the fundraiser was over-funded before the deadline! We were all so grateful for the response and support. This year, we would like to expand the fundraiser to include families from all four schools in our district - Union Elementary School, Main Street Middle School, Montpelier High School, and Roxbury Village School.
We have been in contact with the social workers from each of the schools in our district to see how we can best help this year. They have asked for us to provide help for 60 families across the district. We have made a goal of $3,000 to give 60 families a $50 gift card at a local grocery store. These gift cards will go a long way to help our neighbors and their children enjoy their holidays this year. Please give what you can!
The money raised here will be used to buy gift cards, at the discretion of the social workers in the district. If we do not meet our goal in time, the plan is to divide what we do raise equally across schools and families. If we raise more money than our goal, we will put those funds into winter holiday support, and will update donors here.
If you, or an organization that you are affiliated with would like to make a large, tax-deductible donation, please email Emma at [email redacted] . We now have the ability to process larger donations through the new umbrella non-profit group for the district - MRPSPIE .
Our deadline is Wednesday, November 20th.
