Thanks for Juan's Service to Scarborough Station

Our Scarborough Station valet attendant Juan Tirado is leaving his job at the end of December. (Based on his note it would appear that this was not a decision by his making). To thank him for his years of thoughtful service to all those who parked at our station, the community of Briarcliff would love to give him a farewell gift.

We would like to present Juan with a check - one final tip - before he departs at the end of December, ideally by December 23rd. Every dollar raised goes to Juan. 

Let's show him how much we appreciated all of his help on those rushed mornings where he made sure we made it onto the train, brought us an umbrella when it poured, always asked after our loved ones, and so much more.

Here is the note Juan shared with a community member. 

“To all my wonderful friends,
It’s with a sad and heavy heart that my duties at the Scarborough Station will end on December 30, 2020. It’s with a breaking heart that I have to say goodbye to all of you wonderful people in Briarcliff. You all have been so great to me and have truly treated me like family. Thank you for the memories that I will always cherish. Because of all of you, I have had the most wonderful 13 years here at Scarborough. A special thanks goes to Phil Zegarelli for the tremendous job he has done at the helm. He has treated me like family. A big thanks to the Police Department for all that they have done for all of us, always just a call away. A constant thank you to the Department of Public Works for always making sure that the station lot remained clean and safe for all of you. I can’t thank you all enough for these wonderful years. All of your friendships have truly blessed my life. I hope to return when ridership returns and resume serving you. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
