Jambo Kenya Expedition

My name is Max and I'm putting my creative skills to the test to fundraise for a trip to Kenya to help the local community of Mombasa under Camps International in 2026.

Camps International is a social enterprise created to give young people in the UK an opportunity to

support poor communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. I’ve signed up with them for a trip to

the costal city of Mombasa in Kenya in 2026 in hopes to achieve the following:

- Build desks for school children who would otherwise be sat on the floor to learn.

- Help build classrooms to provide children with safe spaces to learn.

- Dig elephant watering holes, helping elephants to survive the dry season.

- Make ethical elephant deterrents to protect local crops.

- Rhino Sanctuary maintenance work.

- Goat de-worming to help local farmers.

- Install fresh water tanks in schools and villages so people can access clean safe water.

I hope this trip will allow me to not only benefit the communities ill visit but to also personally

develop and give me skills and confidence I need after my studies. I want to build my resilience to

new situations, gain major life experience and learn more about myself as a person.
