Ike and Bennett's Mission Trip Fund

We are honored to raise money to participate in the Reformed University Fellowship's(RUF) mission trip to NYC! RUF means a great deal to the both of us. I, myself(Ike) can now call myself a Christian because of what the ministry RUF does. I also met one of my best friends through RUF, The co-recipient of this GOFUNDME, Bennett. To say that RUF has and still is changing both of our lives would be an understatment! Now we have been blessed to have the opportunity to not only give back to the ministry that has given so much to us but to also give back to our " neighbor."
     This year during Spring Break Ole Miss RUF will be traveling to New York City to work with Mission to the World's Operation Exodus! Operation Exodus operates three ministry locations in New York City, serving between 250 and 300 children and families in the neighborhoods of Washington Heights, Inwood, and the Bronx! It would be our honor to actually enter into the lives of these kids, by living among them and serving them in ways that include: tutoring, building relationships, sports, and leading daily worship! 
   The goal of the mission is to promote spiritual growth, higher educational achievement, and leadership to underserved children, with an emphasis on the Latino community in these neighborhoods. We will be able to do this through quality out-of-school educational opportunities, transformational relationships and mentoring, school placements, and parent workshops, all guided by the transforming power and values of Jesus Christ. 
        It would be a blessing to serve RUF and these kids in this way. However in order to serve we need both prayer and financial support. The money will be used to help pay for our travel to and from NYC, housing, subway transportation, and more. Anything that you can donate would be a blessing and would help us be able to serve the community of NYC.
