Telford’s Breakfast Parcels for Children

It’s hard to believe that in 2020 children still go hungry: many need Free School Meals in term time, and help during holidays. 
 
Telford & Wrekin Council, is determined that no child here should go hungry.

The Council is therefore funding breakfast parcels for children who receive Free School Meals.  These vital parcels give children, a great start to the day, they give youngsters’ bodies and brains the food they need to develop, learn and play. 

 We know this is a cause close to many and local residents have asked how they can donate. 
 
Here’s how you can help.

With your support each breakfast parcel can include an added extra, something to put a smile on a child’s face and make their breakfast that extra bit special.   

 If you could make a donation - large or small, it all makes a difference. 

We’re going to share your gift with the local organisations who deliver the breakfasts, who work with the very families we’re supporting through these difficult times.

It’s been a difficult year, but Telford has rallied round. Together let’s do that little extra which will put a smile on a child’s face. 

These are some examples of how you support could make a difference:

£2 could add a selection box to a child’s Christmas Breakfast Parcel

£3 could provide ingredients to make pancakes or add extra fruit for a week

£10 could buy an activity pack for 5 children

£20 could add a tin of baked beans to 40 breakfast packs to give 40 children a warm meal to start the day
