Each fall many students in the Tri-Cities area return to school with new backpacks and clothes, but there are many children who cannot afford these items.
During the Christmas season, many people are willing to help, adopting angels on Christmas trees in the mall, and donating clothes and toys, but those children also need clothes in the summer months as well.
That is why a couple local moms with a passion for teens and the least of these created "August Angels," a program designed to help children with back to school clothes and shoes.
We are encouraging people to purchase gently used clothes from local consignment shops or adopt an angel that wears the size their child has recently outgrown but are still in like NEW CONDITION. Then purchase new shoes, socks, and underwear.
